Exchange of artists
Within the framework of the SFZH Initiative the city of Zurich has included San Francisco as a destination in its yearly sponsorship competition in fine arts (Stipendienwettbewerb für bildende Kunst). The process started in November 2004 and the final decisions were made in June 2005.
Zurich will enter a partnership program with the Headlands, Center for the Arts in Sausalito.
The application forms in Zurich are always published in November. Artists who apply can chose between a scholarship or a stay in one of the artist studios abroad. San Francisco i.e. the Headlands will be listed as one of the offered places to stay. Likewise, the Headlands Center for the Arts will contact artists on their mailing list and will choose artists who would both represent the Bay Area well and who would benefit from this experience. F+F, Schule für Kunst und Mediendesign in Zurich will host artists coming from the Bay Area.
